For all those who missed it, the forum just over 10 days ago, here is a little brief of the event.
Urbyus had the pleasure of presenting the first ever Presidents Forum in Costa del Sol. The Forum was attended by over 100 people from communities between Manilva and Malaga and inland, Coin, Alhaurin and Benhavis. Guest speakers Julia Pedraza from Martinez Echevarria covered topics on the community debts, Securdat covering the data protection issues in communities.
Christina Nissen from Alarma Universal, gave us a brief description about CCTV and installations, followed by David Slade from SmartSTTV presenting their IPTV solution for the dissappearing satellite channels.
David Searl, author of the book “You and the Law in Spain” gave a brief talk on the importance of communication and why communities should embrace using today’s technology for improving the way they communicate within their neighbourhood.
Finally, we presented our new module for account presentation. A graphical and visual manner for presenting community accounts. In my humble opinion, most people don’t understand the complicated account presentations, presented by accountants and only understood by them. Most people are not accountants and often do not understand the basics of accounting. So accounts need to be presented in a different manner to make sense. One of the best manners, is visual presentations using graphs, pie charts and other methods that can provide a simple overview of the accounts. In most cases this couple with the accounts presented in complete format is much better than pages and pages of spreadsheets without explanations.
The forum was closed with the anounecement of the Presidents Club that allows Presidents and committee members to share ideas and expertise. A place where we can share information and help each other.
